Setup Document Camera

Connect the USB Doc Camera to the Laptop

  • Connect the Document Camera to the laptop by plugging the USB-A end into the computer.
    • MacBooks- You may need to use a Dongle/Adapter to make this connection

Open the Camera App (Windows)

  • All Windows computers will have a “Camera” app installed by default. Click on the “Start” menu and scroll down to “C” and click on the “Camera App”.
    • If your device has multiple cameras available, you may need to toggle between them by pressing the “Change Camera” button. See the screenshot above.
      • Press the “Take Photo” button to capture an image.
        • Photos will go to your “Pictures” folder by default.
        • Annotate, Upload, and/or Share the Image.

Doc Camera Apps (Mac, Win, Chrome, Mobile Alternatives)

    • OkioLabs has a nice app that can do more than the basic camera app. It isn’t necessary to use, but it does provide a few more features that can be handy.
      • Requires installation but local user option available. (shouldn’t require IT assistance)
