More Information
Corvallis School District Technology Services is committed to providing every student with the tools they need for success. Our student device program is designed to promote equity, with the primary focus of ensuring all students have access to technology to complete their assigned coursework towards high school graduation.
Here’s how the program works:
- Student devices will be issued at the beginning of each school year or shortly after a student's enrollment in the District.
- Student devices will be collected at the end of each school year, with coordination led by Technology Services and our schools.
- Devices will be assigned based on standard grade-level bands
- For example:
- Kindergarten through 5th Grade students will receive iPads
- 6th through 12th Grade students will receive Chromebooks
- For example:
- When possible, technology accommodations and modifications will be implemented using the assigned device and app ecosystem, aligning with student goals and the hardware/software requirements of necessary applications or accessibility tools.
- If students are pursuing post-secondary work (such as through LBCC), they may continue to utilize their CSD-issued device until the scheduled device collection at their school.
