Overview
How to enable AirPlay connection on MacBook and then connecting an iPad to a MacBook using Screen Mirroring. This will enable other iPads to request a connection to your MacBook and allow the iPad screen to be displayed on the MacBook.

How to enable Airplay connections on your MacBook
Step 1

Go to “System Preferences”.
- Click on the “Apple Logo” on the top left of the screen
- Then click on “System Preferences”
Step 2

Go to “Sharing”.
- Click on “Sharing” icon.
Step 3

On the left side of the screen, make sure “Airplay” is enabled by clicking on the box.
- Next, click Allow Airplay for: “Anyone on the same network”
- Now, click on “Require Password” box and set a password for the connection
- Tip: You can change the computer name of the Airplay connection at the top.
Mirror an iPad screen to your MacBook
Step 1

On the iPad you are wanting to display your screen, using your finger, swipe down from top right corner of the screen to open up the “Control Center” menu.
Step 2

On the “Control Center” tap on the “Screen Mirrorring” icon that looks like two rectangles overlapping.
Step 3

In the “Screen Mirroring” menu find the name of the Device/MacBook that you want to connect to and tap on it.

On the MacBook, there will be a request on the right side asking “Air Play” permission to connect. Accept it.

Lastly, on the iPad you’ll need to input the password/code set on the MacBook before the iPad screen will display on the MacBook. Done!
Conclusion
You should now be able to use AirPlay to show the iPad screen on the MacBook. If your MacBook is connected to a projector, a TV, or a video conference, you should be able to see the iPad screen displayed using your MacBook.
